The classical musicians Linda Jozefowski and Sal Ieriti wanted to create a neo-pagan ritual for the Information Age, a theatre performance incorporating music, dance, and pantomime, all around one of Sal's earthwork sculptures. With fellow musician Stefano Altavista providing an electronic score, they imagined the primal spirit of Pan penetrating the humdrum existence of a modern everyman—and leading him into a psychedelic dream which reconnected the human with the animal.
The project was performed in collective art/housing space the Greenhouse in December 2018, with _airone_ providing live projections, the indomitable Wlademiro Amadeo consulting on direction, and an ensemble, including my friend Luke Swenson as Pan himself, that made the rest happen.
